The new addition to the Amarillo College West Campus is the New Multistory Nursing & Dental Health Center which houses the Nursing & Dental Programs. The location for the new multistory center is on the Northwest side of the Amarillo College West Campus. An additional parking lot is located adjacent to the new center as part of the 2007 bond package. The new building provides updated nursing & dental spaces to meet the increasing demand for education & training. Both programs were at full capacity, causing the teaching & support spaces to become inefficient & could not meet the demand. The new building contains primarily specialized laboratory & clinic spaces. The building added approximately 61,000 gross square footage (GSF) to the West Campus.
